What is the Redstone?
Redstone is Modern Flames' most direct fireplace replacement — designed from the start to retrofit into an existing wood-burning or gas fireplace opening, or to install as a new built-in. If a Northwest Arkansas homeowner has an old fireplace they no longer use (or one that's been sealed off, capped, or simply isn't worth the maintenance), Redstone is typically the fastest path to a working fireplace again without any structural work.
Because it's electric, there's no chimney cleaning, no gas line inspection, and no combustion byproducts to vent — just a clean-face fireplace with a fully adjustable flame that can run with or without heat.

Redstone Models
Redstone comes in two configurations, and the right one depends on what's already in your wall — not the fireplace itself. An insert is built to slide into an existing wood-burning or gas fireplace opening. A fireplace, or built-in, is framed into new construction or a full renovation. Both run on the same Hybrid-FX flame technology; the difference is how they meet your space.
Redstone Models
Built for new construction or a full remodel, where the fireplace is framed into the wall from scratch instead of dropped into an existing opening. That gives you full control over size and placement — a wider feature wall, a taller sightline, or a fully custom surround — since you're not limited to the dimensions of an old firebox.
Redstone Insert
Built to retrofit an existing masonry or factory-built fireplace, sliding into the same opening your current wood or gas unit occupies. Because it uses the opening you already have, there's no reframing and no new venting, and your existing mantel or surround can usually stay exactly as it is. It's the fastest, least invasive way to convert an old fireplace to electric.
